Botox in Guildford: What to Expect | Verse Medical Aesthetics

Thinking about Botox in Guildford? Marta, V300 Independent Nurse Prescriber at Verse Medical Aesthetics, explains exactly what happens from consultation to results.

If you're considering Botox in Guildford for the first time, knowing what actually happens at your appointment makes a significant difference. Not just to your nerves — but to your results. Here's exactly what to expect when you come to Verse Medical Aesthetics.

First: a real consultation, not a formality.

At Verse, your consultation isn't a five-minute box-tick before treatment begins. It's a proper clinical assessment. I'll ask about your medical history, any medications you're taking, your aesthetic concerns, and what you're hoping to achieve. I'll look at how your face moves — not just how it rests — because Botox targets dynamic expression lines, and understanding your individual muscle movements is what separates natural results from frozen ones.

This matters more than most clinics will tell you. Botulinum toxin is a prescription-only medicine in the UK. As a V300 Independent Nurse Prescriber, I prescribe and administer your treatment myself. The person assessing you is the same person treating you.

Your two-week review.

Every Botox treatment at Verse includes a complimentary review appointment at two weeks. This is when results are fully visible, and we can assess whether any minor adjustments are needed. It's also when I'll answer any questions that came up after your treatment.

What areas can be treated?

The most common treatment areas at Verse are:

  • Forehead lines

  • Frown lines (the "11s" between the brows)

  • Crow's feet around the eyes

  • Brow lifting

  • Bunny lines on the nose

  • Gummy smile

  • Neck bands

  • Jaw slimming and teeth grinding (masseter)

  • Excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis)

During your consultation, we'll discuss which areas are appropriate for you, what's realistic, and whether Botox is actually the right treatment — or whether something else would serve you better.

How long do results last?

Typically, three to four months, though this varies by individual. Factors include muscle strength, metabolism, the area treated, and your natural expressiveness. Over time, with regular treatment, many clients find their results last longer as the muscles soften with repeated relaxation.

Pricing at Verse

  • One area: £200

  • Two areas: £230

  • Three areas: £250

  • Jaw slimming: from £250

  • Hyperhidrosis (underarms): £450

All prices include your initial consultation and your two-week review.

The treatment itself

Once we've agreed a plan, treatment takes between 15 and 30 minutes. I use ultra-fine needles. Most clients describe the sensation as a mild pinch — some areas are more sensitive than others, but nothing that requires anaesthetic. You can drive afterwards and return to desk-based work immediately.

One thing I always tell first-time clients: don't judge your results at day three. Botox takes time to settle. You'll typically notice changes from day three to five, with full results visible at around 10 to 14 days. This gradual onset is normal — and it's actually what creates a natural look.

What to avoid afterwards

For the first 24 hours after treatment:

  • No strenuous exercise

  • No facials, massage, or pressure on treated areas

  • No alcohol that evening

  • Avoid excessive heat (saunas, very hot showers)
