What is RexoFace?

RexoFace is a Swiss-made biostimulator that uses Exobiotic® technology. The treatment extracts extracellular vesicles from probiotic bacteria, measuring 20–200 nanometres in size, that function as cellular communication mechanisms.

Unlike conventional skin boosters focused on hydration, RexoFace operates at the cellular level to trigger regenerative processes. Each application contains 20 billion lyophilised particles that penetrate the skin barrier via microneedling and interact with fibroblasts responsible for collagen and elastin production.

The Science: What Does the Research Say?

The technology is supported by more than 20 clinical studies. Research demonstrates three primary benefits.

Fibroblast stimulation and collagen synthesis. A 2023 study in *Cells* journal showed that probiotic-derived extracellular vesicles increased collagen production at levels comparable to retinoic acid, the gold standard anti-ageing compound.

Inflammatory marker reduction. Research indicates these vesicles can decrease matrix metalloproteinases (the enzymes breaking down collagen) and reduce inflammatory molecules including IL-6 and IL-8.

Wound healing support. Studies demonstrate enhanced tissue regeneration, new blood vessel formation, and accelerated healing processes.

Who is RexoFace Suitable For?

RexoFace may benefit patients experiencing early ageing signs and reduced skin quality, fine lines and textural changes, dull or fatigued-appearing skin, uneven tone or mild pigmentation concerns, acne scarring, or those looking to maintain results from other aesthetic procedures.

What's in the Formula?

RexoFace combines Exobiotic® particles with a diluent containing PDRN (polydeoxyribonucleotides) for tissue regeneration, niacinamide for collagen production and barrier function, tranexamic acid for pigmentation reduction, alpha-arbutin for even skin tone, vitamin C for antioxidant protection, glutathione for skin brightening, plus two hyaluronic acid types, 13 amino acids, and 5 skin peptides.

Why I Chose RexoFace

Three factors convinced me. First, refrigerated storage — RexoFace requires 4–8°C temperature, preserving biological activity and indicating product integrity. Second, the lyophilised formulation — the freeze-dried powder is reconstituted immediately before treatment, ensuring maximum potency. Third, the evidence-based approach — the combination of probiotic-derived vesicles with established actives like PDRN represents a sophisticated, multi-target approach to skin rejuvenation.

What to Expect After Treatment

The treatment is delivered via microneedling over approximately 45–60 minutes. Mild redness may occur for 24–48 hours. I recommend 3–4 treatments spaced 2–4 weeks apart for optimal results, with maintenance treatments every 3–6 months.
